email a tar file to a email account. I am using aix risc 6000

In a script...

uuencode tarfile.tar tarfile.tar > tarfile.uenc
mail someone@microsoft.com < $FILENAME.uenc

Alternatively install and use the &quot;mpack&quot; package from the Bull freeware site.

I use telnet/ssh connection to AIX box from PC running &quot;Windows&quot; and for uudecode incode, FTP and md5sum checking as well use &quot;Total commander&quot; (You can download it from it site) it is very easy to use.
