Last year I purchased an eMachines T3265. It has an Athlon XP 3200+ with a 400Mhz FSB. The motherboard is an FIC AU31 with an nForce2 chipset. Given this configuration I assumed the memory was DDR 400 (PC3200). I purchased 1 GB (2x512MB) of PC3200 memory from NewEgg opened the case to install it and discovered that it had a single 512MB DDR 333 (PC2700) module. I removed the existing module and installed the two memory modules I purchased. According to the BIOS the memory is running at 333Mhz. I can't find anywhere where the memory speed can be changed. There is a jumper on the motherboard, but the documentation only shows 2 settings, one for 266 Mhz and one for 333 Mhz. I have run Sisoft Sandra and it confirms that the FSB for the processor is at 400 Mhz but the memory speed is 333 Mhz. Does anyone know a way around this so I can run the memory at full speed?
Thanks.
