Has anyone ever had issues with an IPK II with EliteMailLX dropping calls? The attendant that answers the phones complains that this takes places at least 3-5 times a day. Currently, all calls are inbound to the EliteMailLX auto attendant. If they choose not to enter an option, the timeout is set to the operator's extension. Using Comcast voice lines.

I've got an update on this with a little more clarity I hope. So the customer can call the main line of the organization, then they hit the auto attendant as they should. The customer will stay on the line for 5-10 seconds, then just hang up. Around 10 seconds or so later, after the customer has already hung up, the phone call ringing through to the system again (the customer is not calling though). I've been all through the Elite Mail & IPK II programming and can't find any programming bits related to this. If anyone has run across this or has any ideas, I'd appreciate it.. Thank you!

If the caller is abandoning in the middle of the AA message and telco is not sending a disconnect signal, the AA port will continue to play until it gets to the option where no digit is dialed. then is goes to the option set for no digits dialed. You can try setting the no digits dialed option to hang up.

I've never seen a specific setting for "no digits dialed" in the EliteMail LX system. Maybe I've overlooked it somewhere. The only thing remotely close I've found is the one key dialing setting. I have adjusted that timer to see if that corrects the issue.

I had the same problem after we switched to Comcast and what we did was set the System Operator Box options to go back to the Opening Box instead of an extension on the IPK II. It seems that the EliteMaiLX does not always understand Comcast's disconnect signal. Then in the Opening Box you can set up one of the One Key Dialing options to go to the operator but you would also have to change the recording.
