The company that installed our system has left us out to dry and isn't much help. Overnight, something happened with our vmail system and the prompts are all wrong. Nothing was changed by myself or anyone else in the company (no-one else has access). When I called the company that installed the system, they mentions something about checking/editing settings through the phone because you can't make certain changes through the website (elitemail). They never left us any instructions or guides on how to get into the system via the phone. I do know the ID and password, just not how to get into it. I've downloaded and read alot of the guides available from NEC, but none that's I've seen covers what I need to do. If the docs do make mention, it's "dial into the system and use your ID to..."; not much help.

Can someone point me in the right direction as to how to log in to the phone (vmail) system from a phone?

thanks

If you truly have an admin password, or system manager access in your mailbox to get you to manager functions, simply call the voice mail pilot and enter your password once it asks for it. In your display hit the more key and then MGR key. You can change almost, and I say almost anything YOU would need to from there. You can also go to your web browser and type in the ip address of the Elite Mail (or going by what you said above) "elitemail" then forward slash admin and enter in your user ID and password. If you are set up as a system manager you should be in to edit what ever you need to from there. If your user id and password does not have manager status you need to find out who was set up to have this function. My I ask why the installing vendor "left you out to dry" as you state? The only reason our company would ever do such a thing is for non payment for services rendered. I'm not saying this is the case here but who knows. Unfortunatly I will not give you the default or NEC password. Search this forum and you might find it posted but I'm not sure. You see, if I gave you that, it would open up your voice mail to hackers (which is maybe what has already happened)! Good Luck!!

Thanks for getting back to me. the installation company finally got back to me and fixed the issue. I'm waiting for an explanation as to how this could have happened and how we could avoid this in the future. I'm also waiting for an explanation as to how they fixed it.

thanks again for the help...
