Brian,

You need to set the options for record selector and navigation to no. However if you do this you will need to create your own buttons to allow the user of your application to move through your records.

Brian,

You won't be able to eliminate the grey around the nav buttons or the record selectors (the bit by the arrows). That's part of the package. You can, though, build your own nav buttons. If you do some searches here you'll probably find some code to do that. If not, check groups.google.com for the archives of comp.databases.ms-access. You cannot replace the record selectors, though you don't have to reveal them--see the format properties of your form.

I'm not sure what the stripe on the right is--it may be that your subform isn't big enough? Or maybe that will go away if you get rid of the record selector, I don't know.

I understand your inclination to get rid of the grey, but I will say that it's a standard windows color, and that plenty of people are used to it. In general, I think it's really important to adhere to windows standards, as that makes it easier for users to use your applications.

The grey stripe at the right is for your vertical scroll bar. Set the Scroll Bars property on your form to "Neither" or "Horizontal Only" to get rid of it. You'll find a similar stripe at the bottom of the form if you allow horizontal scroll bars.
