Hi,

Anybody knows a way to eliminate the Hold button. I don`t want the agents could press the Hold button and I can't figure out how to do it (apart from remove phisically from the phone).
Any ideas?

Thanks

Glue it.

Sarcasm, it's only one of the services I offer.

So, is that impossible through the configuration settings?

Thanks

Indeed but you can log it with system status but you need to search for that so a bit impossible.

try turning the hold timer off or 1 second

Hold Timeout (secs): Default = 120 (US) or 15 (Rest of World), Range = 0 (Off) to 99999 seconds.
This setting controls how long calls remain on hold before recalling to the user who held the call. Note that the recall only occurs if the user has no other connected call. Recalled calls will continue ringing and do not follow forwards or go to voicemail.

Thank you very much for the advices.
So the Hold Timeout field refers to the time spend in hold time, so if I put that to 0 the agents won´t have hold time? I see the description a little confuse because I don´t know what it means with "recalled calls will continue ringing..."

Ok, in other posts I have seen how it works.
My point is that it doesn´t make any sense to ring in the user station who puts that call on hold, I think it makes more sense just to put that call again live, because the call-appearence is all the time busy with this call.
If I put that parameter to "0" it means the system doesn´t let use the hold button?

Thanks.

Keep in mind that this applies to every phone outside of your agents as well.

why would you not want the agents to use hold, if they don't abuse it then it should be no problem if they do fire their a$$.
Setting the timer to 0 or 1 second and then make thier phone auto answer could work though, proble is that their phone will auto answer all calls and if they forget to log out of the queue then their phone will pick up calls [sad]

Ok setting the system recall hold timer just holds indefinitely by the looks. (I tested it just a short time ago) so set it to 1 second and play around with some other peoples suggestions. dont forget tick reserve last CA key otherwise the call might not ring back if there aren't any free CA keys.
