Ok.. When I do a Iset and Isetshow in Element Manager it shows me that at one of my sites I have 11 phones that are offline.. But I have gone to the site and did a hard reset on the phones also I have checked and they are registered with my admin site..(were they are supposed to be) There are about 70 ip sets at this site and these are the only phones showing that...Any suggestions???

Thanks,

Only one at the remote site.. and I think like 5 at our admin site....

But when I'm looking at the sig server at the remote site that is where it says that they are offline..and I should not even see them on the sig serv at that site..

Are these branch office sites or SMG sites?

If they are, I am thinking that the phones registered (or tried to register locally) and then were redirected are showing up as offline.

The phones that don't show up may have S1 pointed directly to the main, and NOT the local S1 node IP.

In the first case the SS knows about them, and that they were redirectwed, and inthe second case, the local SS doesn't even know about them since they never came to that device to be redirected.

Need more topology information about the network to undertand what's happening here.

Ok sorry... these are branch office sites. Yes The phones do try to register local first then they get redircted to the admin site. When I do a tnb at the remote site is shows to be unregistered.(which it should) Admin shows to be registered.(which it should).

I'm just curious why they say that when the phones are not even registered there.

Anything more I need the check??

What he is saying is that they branch site will always say unregistered and the main office will say registered unless for some odd reason the set can not be redirected to the main office.

well in my cause it does not say that.. It should not say anything at the remote site.. But what it does say is that they are offline. Only 11 phones are saying this and there are a total of 70 phones at the remote site.

The sets are registered at the right location I have checked and double checked.
