Element Manager- Change phone type? 1

Hello, I'm fairly new to CS1000_r6 Element manager. I know how to change sync status in OTM and change type or out the set. Is there anyway to change set to new so I am able to out it in EM? My problem is I have a 2004p2 residing on a TN of a 2004p1 so I can't make any changes to it. I keep getting the sch3928 error.

Any help is appreciated.Thanks

You have to OUT the phone in Telephony Manager (too slow/pokey) or the command line interface (faster if you know all the overlays and commands) and rebuild it to the correct phone type.

I don't have OTM anylonger. I wasn't sure it would out in OLI because of the wrong phone type. I'll try it. Thanks

I rarely use OTM/TM for anything unless it's a remote situation - but if I can dial-in or have access to a TTY port, that's where I go.
