We have a weird issue that I'd like to see if anyone out there has troubleshot in the past.
We have a huge Call Center: Option 81c on Rls 6 with 8 network groups, CallPilot Rls 5, and Contact Center Rls 7.
The system is working fine, however on the 5th floor of the building in a single pod of about 6 cubicles, we get reports of crosstalk. The agent will report that they and their customer on the line will hear another conversation, however the other conversation cannot hear them.
These reports only come from users in this pod of cubes. No one else in the building ever reports this issue. From the PBX perspective, we have replaced telephones numerous times, and replaced TNs multiple times and using several different loops. Nothing done in the PBX makes a difference.
From the environmental perspective, the customer has had the electrical checked and reports it checked out fine. They ran new station cabling to this pod and ran it from overhead rather than from below to further separate the cables and electrical. (This was NOT shielded cable)
Using a tone generator amplifier, you can wave the wand around that area and compared to other cubicle pods, it is very loud. This leads us to believe there is some sort of interference in this area. Of course, this method of testing is not very scientific but it stands to reason that the noise the amplifier picks up should be about equal to other cubicle pods.
Questions:
1. Has anyone out there troubleshot possible interference issues in the past and have any pointers?
2. Is there some sort of testing equipment that can be purchased to measure the interference between different areas that might narrow down where the problem stems from?
