Electra Elite 48 Auto Attendant

We need to change the greeting on our Electra Elite 48 Auto Attendant, but the person who set this up is no longer with us.
In the manual it states:
Lift Handset
Dial VRS Voice Message Access Code ____ (it's blank)
Dial 1
Dial 1
Dial AA message number 1-8

We are clueless as to what VRS access code means, is there a default code on the Elite 48?

Go into programming and get to memory block 1-1-47. Go through all the 2 digit access codes until you see one that equals 501. That will be the code.

How do I get into the programming? We know we have to go from extension 100, but that's about our extent of the knowledge. It seems setting the main greeting would be easy than this!
