Hi all,
I went for training on this system 5yrs ago haven't worked on them since, just had to replace a phone here and there.
Now I have a customer who doesn't use DID's only POTS lines for the end users to receive calls on, and is requesting, if possible, to take the POTS line after so many rings go to vmail and if the end user is on the line all ready it should go to vmail. Is this possible ? And how can I do it? Please remember not great on the NEC mainly a Nortel guy. Baby steps would be greatly appreciated. LOL

The POTS line needs to be set for DIT to an extension, then the extension call forward to VM. A direct appearance of a POTS line cannot be forwarded.
CMD 3- TRF- 42/43 (D/N) is used to set DIT assignments.
Off line mode is # - 0 - * - 8974 in the idle mode.
LK 3 - TRF - 42. The number in the left side of the display is the trunk number. * + # moves the cursor left or right. TRF writes the data.

Sounds great Belevedere. Thanks! Will this affect the way they make a call out. Presently they select the line key with the pots line assigned. Will I need to set an access code like "9" to make an outside call ?

This will only affect incoming calls. Outgoing will remain as it is.
