Please forgive me if this is a stupid question. I am working in Flash MX. I must have hit some setting that did the following, but cannot figure out what it was:

When editing a symbol in place, the document size or canvas is much larger than that of the main timeline's stage. This results in an inaccurate proportion size of the symbol when dragged out onto the stage. At first I thought it was that the zoom views were different from each other, but this isn't the case. I was playing with the x and y coordinates in the Info Window prior to this, could that possibly have anything to do with anything?

I could reinstall Flash, but want to know if it is a glich or just something that I did, so I don't do it again. How do I get out of this?

Sounds like you may have accidentally added a transform to the object on the stage - try selecting it and hitting ctrl+shift+z which should remove the transform. If that's not it delete the object froim the library and reimport - it should snap back to its original values. Either way I think reinstalling Flash is a real last resort! ;-)

I had to reinstall Flash. Not a major deal. All new Flash documents and new behaviors behaved the same way. Reinstalling fixed it. Thanks for your input
