editing image in library 1

Hi i have a fla that has only 1 image, it in the library, everytime i try to edit it, it disappears....

from a designer, that i can no longer locate, and suggestion on how to actually edit the image?

My guess is this was originally old Illustrator exported SWF with element Symbols deleted.

Anyway I can think of one way. Magnify the image as large as you can, then take the screenshot. Import that into Flash and break apart. You get the editable vector art again. This graphic is not very complex, it should work.
