I have an Excel Add-In created by someone who is no longer with my company and I need to edit it. There is a date lookup module that I need to edit. Some of the modules say "project is not viewable" and some are password protected ... and of course the password was not documented anywhere. Any ideas on how I can get around this to edit the date module???
Thanks in advance ...

I've not heard of a reliable method of breaking the security on modules.

Are you able to add a new module? Perhaps you could try your hand at recreating the code, and changing it to do what you need. The downside is that you will not be able to reuse names of functions and processes.

If you decide to take this route, I would suggest posting your issue in the VBA Visual Basic for Applications (Microsoft) forum

The answers indicate that you try to access vba projects in different workbooks/add-ins.
First of all check what workbook it is, is it an add-in or hidden workbook, and if the specific vba project is unviewable or password protected. In the simplest case (hidden workbook, vba project unviewable) you can unhide window and if the workbook is shared, make it not shared (in most cases this blocks displaying the vba project).
For code solutions (other than password breaking) follow the link in Gruuuu's post.
