edit text as text after outline 1

I am a novice using cs3 on a pc. The .eps file was created in Illustrator 10. Is there a way to edit text as text (like in a word.doc) after it has been converted to outline? i tried Type>Find Font. Didn't work.

I finaly found out that once text is converted to outline it can not be undone or converted back for editing. hope the the GA guy that left here has the original text saved somewere.
