Is there any way to amend or add the links listed under "Look In" on most of the dialogue boxes in MS Word 2000?

For example, I never use "Desktop" or "Favourites" but I'd love a link to a frequently used folder on a remote server in its place?

Why don't you put your frequently used folder in favourites?????

Cheers, Glenn.

Did you hear about the literalist show-jumper? He broke his nose jumping against the clock.

I could do that, but ideally I wanted a one click link.

Hi,

Microsoft issued a "Places COM Add-in" for Office 2000 which enabled the changes you wanted to be made for all Office 2000 Apps. Checkout the Office 2000 Downloads on Microsoft - the download file is called Places.exe.

I have a copy of it, if you can't find it - just let me know on this thread with your email address and I will forward you a copy.

Good Luck!

Referring to your image, on the left side you see [Look in]. Same level on the right side you see [Tools]. Click on it and find the option to add the currently opened folder to the [Look in]-list. Right-click in [Look in] so you can place your most favorite on top.

That option doesn't appear in Word2K, but does in Word2003.
