edit email address

I find it incredible (though not surprising) that I can't edit an email address in the Contact list without re-entering the entire address. Is there some secret way to do this? Or am I just missing it?? I'm using Office 2000. Thanks.

I can't remember back to Outlook 2000 but for Outlook 2003 if you double click on the e-mail address in the Contact and you will get an E-Mail Properties box where you can then edit the e-mail address. Will that work in Outlook 2000?
