EDI 4906 ( invoices ) question, legal or not?

Hi to everyone,

im trying to develop in Spain a EDI 4906 comunication between my company and my german suppliers ( already working with the EDI 4906 standard ). The problem is the spanish tax agency is very reserved to accept this method. Could someone tell me if this 4906 is accepted by the European Comunity and where do i find this information?

There will be a new directive in the EU for the messages and i am not certain that using VDA 4906 will apply to the recomendations.

If you're in the automotive industry take at look at Odette (

If you in any other industry except retail, take a look at EDIFACT. The Retail industry in Europe uses EANCOM.
