I am not sure how to word this but here it goes. I did a re-install to a System Created Admin user and password. Installed Aloha TS and EDC and used the credentials for the Server I head created. Now the FOH is from the previous HDD and they stayed intact. We just began to have issues with Credit cards not showing and what not. So the other day.

The Computers were giving us the error of Offline processing. I went in to Term1 which is the master and removed the spooling file. To my surprise. It did not process the Credit Cards. I manually ran them to the EDC folder and changed their extension to .req and they began to process. So I thought it was all good. I went in and ran a test card and it gave me the same error. 2 Seconds later EDC shows it on the Transactions and no more spooling file or spl file in the Terminal.

I began digging around and saw after another day of no Credit cards running, that if I changed the Login info to Term1 in EDC services, that it began to get all the transactions that were offline. It all ran and what not. Yet after that I ran another test and same issue.

I then checked and all my terminals are set as term and a password to log in. I created one similar to this in the FS and changed credentials to EDC and CTRLSVR. Still I get the same issue.

Am I missing something to get EDC to properly get the files ? It seems to get the first set of transactions. Like 1 or two and then starts offline all over again.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

I won't lie; it's hard to make out what your saying. However, have you checked your folder permissions?

What I was saying is that it is a new File Server Install. Old Registers with Software untouched. Copied all the parameters of the old FS such as Domain, name etc...

Credit cards run yet they say they are being processed offline. 2 Seconds later, EDC in the FS shows the transaction. I checked permissions. Yet after a bit of digging I found that if I stopped EDC processing, then enabled it. All the Transactions are being spooled. I then delete the spooling file to force the cards to be ran from the FS. Yet that does not work.

I created a username such as the one that is on the terminals on the FS to check that out and if it was a credentials issue eith Services. No luck, except the first time. The credit card spl files get ran by EDC. After that they do the 2 second thing again. I guess in theory my Credit cards are not being seen when ran, yet after 2 seconds. They get found somehow and get processed. Yet as time passes by, it then gets stuck in Offline mode.

Right after posting my issue on this just a couple of hours ago. I tried something else. I deleted all Aloha Folders in the Registers and Ibercfg.bat file. Ran Term Install and it did a reboot. I had all other 4 register off when doing this (we have 5). I then run a Credit card and Boom, runs fine now. I stopped EDC and let some run offline. The minute I started EDC again all transactions are there in no time.

Yet when I check Ibercfg.bat and compare it to the old .bat from other registers. The parameters are the same. It is an odd situation to say the least. Yet it now seems to be working fine now. My thing that puzzles me is how Credit Cards were not giving us this error before and just started one Day.

Is it possible that when you replace the File server, we need to do a Term Install again ? It's working now as it should be working though.
