When paging overhead either through the console, IP. or TDM I am getting a serious echo. I am on a CS1000 rls5. Any Ideas?

What happens if you bypass the PBX and page? Could it be the something other than the phone system - like the paging amp?

I have disconnected the paging from the PBX and still have the echo. Is there anything in the route that could be causing this as it is only on the paging port (Universal Trunk)

So, you hear the echo on the trunk port. There are a variety of things in trunk and route programming that *could* cause it. However, if you out each and rebuild with the default programming/minimum programming for the route and trunk, all of those settings would be ruled out.

Another quick test - just move the trunk TN to another card and see if it's the UT card.

Is the echo in the handset of the person paging? Maybe a delay in the earpiece.

Sorry out of town. Echo is on all handsets and headsets no matter what set or console or butset you page from.

Does the page coming out of the speakers echo or just what the person hears who's paging?
