echo on IP4606 phones

Situation: VPN line/IP trunk is succesfully establihed between IP403 and Definity, everything is working properly only there is an echo on IP4606 phones. Can anything be done about this matter? Also, when setting VPN line the "enable faststart" checkbox is checked, should this be done also with VPN extention? There is also "enable faststart" check box.
 
AFAIK fast start is an Avaya tweak to the h232 protocol & may not work with different systems.

check which compression protocols are in use. Also makle sure thet direct media path is enabled, this should remove the IPO from the loop once the call has been setup.
