We have the following problem:
A 412 is connected on a philips sopho with analog trunks.
On the 412 are about 15 5610 extensions.
Now we have an echo when calling to the sopho
We have tried the following:
- grout the 412 on the sopho
- echo cancelling on the ATM4 set to 128ms
- set the codec of the extension on G711 a-law
- gains of the ATM4 set on -1Db

Connecting the 412 on the sopho with an So module is no solution. Then we have no dial tone.

Who can help me to resolve the echo?

calling to the sopho gives echo but what about calls from the sopho ?

if only outgoing then play more with the gain

at what version are you on ?

There are only calls to the sopho.

What are youre recommanded settings of the gain?
Set both TX and RX down?

SW version: 3.1 (48)

just try andplay with the settings
if you can upgrade to 3.1.65

This sounds like a problem similar to what I am having. I have 4 IPO SoHO's and a 406 all with a max of 5 5610's off of them in most cases directly connected to the system. ATM4 in the 406 and what ever the architecture is in the SoHo. And I am getting an echo and loss only on calls on the analog trunks. Extn to Extn is fine. I running 3.2(55) for the most part but my 406 is running 4.0(5) and it is doing the same thing. I am waiting for a special release of 3.2 from Avaya that they think will correct the issue. Have you made any headway since this post? I have turned the gain as low as the system will let me on the lines. I also have played w/the compression for the IP Extensions. With little improvement....Any other Ides would be helpful. I will report what this revision of code dose for me!!
