Has anyone tried using this technology as a backup solution?
What's been your experience? How easy is it to install? What kind of transfer rate? Is the media reliable? How long does the media last for?

I'm looking for an alternative for our HP TapeAssure which only holds 7.5G a tape. Our backups are now growing past that size. I'd like to find a cost effective solution and this seems like an interesting prospect.

TIA

I just bought the 30 GB USB version. Their Web site states it doesn't work with win2000 but the support dept provided me with the necessary drivers etc to make it work. It seems to work fine, so far. Backup speed is about 45-50 MB/min.
Their 3.1 software didn't work properly under Win98 (hangs during tape write); however 3.2 has just been released and works fine under Win2000

I need to know how to use this Echo back up device, also i need to know how to verify if data has been backing up.
