I have a VPN setup and I can connect to any server in my network. I can even map a drive on the exchange server. Our network is mostly a workgroup setup and the exchange server is the only AD server. When I try and log in through outlook remotely I get prompted for username, domain, password. When I enter in the info it says it can not find ther server. I have the authentication set to none on my outlook. I also have exchange ports and http ports open on the firewall (OWA works great). Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

Add the name and ip-address of your exchange server to your hosts file. This should do the trick.

I created a lmhosts file:
192.168.x.x Computername #PRE #DOM:DOMAIN-NAME
192.168.x.x "DOMAINNAME \0x1b" #PRE

I have enable LMHOSTS lookup on tcpip settings.

I also added to my hosts file

192.168.x.x computername

Should computername in the hosts file be the DOMAIN-NAME or DNS (x.y.net) or the actual computername?

Thanks!
