Has anyone set up Ecas call accounting to work with IP Office? I can't see how to get the users in there and see any data. I think the two are talking but in the web interface i'm seeing no data. Anyone have any good docs on this or cheat sheets for the setup of the reports and adding users?

I have one eCas system under my belt. I struggled with it because I had to learn it as I was installing it. If your customer purchased it and you have their agreement serial number then you can go to this link

and get the install manual. Thats how I got through it. It took me a couple hours of tweaking the software to start getting data dumps. The manual is your best resource. The switch wizard is the most important step as well as getting the CDR tab setup up correctly. Also make sure you dont accidentally import some bad data. The software will stop working if it sees more users in the user list than licenses. It will still collect data but you will be able to see it until you get the invalid users deleted.

post what version of IP office and how you have it configured. Also have you created the CSV file? and what directory did you place it into.

CDR to eCAS was a complete failure. Apparently eCAS interpets short codes incorrectly and auto builds extensions past the amount licensed for.

Instead you are forced to stick with delta. Delta works pretty good. Delta has to use the directory structure and filename defined in eCAS. You can change both of those in eCAS but it will not work if you change from the default.

I have it on an IP Office running 4.0.5. No I haven't created the csv file. I'm not sure what format it needs to be in. I have it in the c:\ecas data\ipoffice\ecas.xml
I think I have everything setup for the integration but am struggling on the actual data and how to get users in exc...
How do I know how many users I have licenses for?

I have the CDR tab on the IP Office set according to the quick install guide for 3.1 and above using IP.

You need to turn off CDR and use delta instead.

Install delta on eCAS machine.
Create SMDR directory off root drive
In delta use \\computername\c$\SMDR\smdr.csv as the smdr filename
Enable smdr log file
Setup eCAS using delta

You can click on the link "about" on the main ecas page to get info about installed ecas including licensing amount.

Also the manufacturer will help you get this working.

So are you saying that I have to have the Delta server installed on the Ecas Server for this to work correctly?

I have it working with 3.2.54 and it works fine. I did see the autobuild problem but I just simply went in and deleted the incorrect users out of eCas. The problem with Delta Server is that its one more application you have to keep up with as well as find somewhere to install it.

You have me confused. You wrote:
"I'm not sure what format it needs to be in. I have it in the c:\ecas data\ipoffice\ecas.xml"

It supposed to be called ecase.txt not ecas.xml

You can put it anywhere you like. During the switch wizard it will ask you for the location. Like I said this takes some playing around with to get it to work. The folks at eCas suggested I use CDR when I called them for support.

The format for the .csv has me confused. Can't you use a csv to import your users? Sorry your right it is ecas.txt not xml.
I have call records being recorded in the file. But I'm not sure where to start on the setup of the users or call reports. How do you setup the csv to import users? I need to go through the documentation.

Ecas support helped me immensley my first and only time I have done Ecas on the IPO. I set it up out of the manual, then called them, and they walked me through the entire thing again. Wish I had my notes, but they are on a PC which I no longer have access to.

I suppose they could have fixed cdr after I installed mine. They were in it to gather info on the failures.
