Hi

I am trying to set up ec500 on ext 6641 on the CM to go to a dect phone

The dect system is separate to the cm but calls are routed using a 4 digit internal ext number 2081 over a qsig trunk.

The dect phone is ringing but when you pick it up there is just an engaged tone , you can then pick the call up on the Avaya phone 6641.

any ideas would be appreciated

when answering the phone try pressing any key on the key pad and see if you are connected.

This could be because of the confirmed answer field in the 'off-pbx-telephone configuration-set X'

This is used sometimes if you want to confirm a "person" answered and not a machine so the system waits for you to press any key before connecting call.

I made two changes under the command ‘change off-pbx-telephone configuration-set 2:
CDR for origination = extension
Post connect dialling options = both
