Hi Guys,

Any advice would be appreciated.

Here we have a number of virtual PBX stations set up with the names of remote sales team, we then have a EC500 setup for each of these numbers pointed at their mobile numbers. This is used from two functions –
1. To allow staff to ring the sales member by using the internal directory
2. To allow the system to recognize the incoming sales caller by CLI and display their name to the agent when the call comes through to aid identification.

The past few days the system is no longer converting the mobile number to the sales person name, on every call the mobile is displayed correctly but this is not always being converted to the station name when routing to the agent, this causing a big impact to the way the sales team work
. this appears to be impacting 50% of calls with no apparent pattern. Outgoing calls to the stations is working ok this is only affecting incoming calls.

Thanks

Make sure that you put the 1 in the Dial Prefix field. Not as part of the Phone number.
If you put it as part of the phone number then it most be there for the system to recognize it as the correct number.
If it is in the Prefix field the system will recognize it with or with out the 1.

Thanks David, the EC500 numbers are mobiles, what we have is 0 in the prefix and then the rest of the number in the phone number field. This has been working ok for a number of year so i am confused as to why we are getting the problem now.

is there possibly a built in Avaya lookup to a EC500 table or something that may be intermittently failing?

The service provider might be sending in the numbers with country prefix, this usually happens to me when the mobile user is out of the country.

If you enter the country code in the off pbx station settings it will match the number both with and without national prefix.
