EC500 and hunt groups

Hello all! I have a couple remote users who have EC500s, with the bridged extensions just x-ported. I can get the EC500s activated (verified by calling the x-ported extensions). My trouble happens when I put these users in a hunt group. The calls to the hunt group won't route to the EC500. I verified that calls are going to the extensions, by setting up a test extension here in the office, using my cellphone for EC500. After putting myself in the hunt group, calls will go to the hard extension, but won't ring my cellphone at the same time. But, normal non-hunt group calls go through to both the hard extension and cell phone.

Does anyone have suggestions on how I can make this work?

Thanks in advance!

It's a choice Avaya has made. Calls only route to the station-number that is listed in the hunt-group. A huntgroup-call will not route to a Ec500 this way. If you want the calls to be routed to the mobiles you should add the xmobile-extensions to the huntgroup.

But I suppose this solution won't work for you because it will kill the functionality you had in mind with the EC500.

We are using EC500 with phones in a hunt group. The hunt group calls do go to EC500. We use this with our help desk to provide the tech with some mobility. They do have a hard phone, not x ported.

Our helpd desk does have a primary and secondary split. I noticed that the tech had to be logged into the primary split for this to work.

We have s8500 2.2

Thank you both for your responses. I wasn't able to get the EC500 working in the hunt group, if it was bridged to a hard phone. However, I removed the hard phone and made the main extension the EC500 extension. I put that in the hunt group, and now calls go to the mobiles. As these guys are never in the office, it is not dire for them to have a hard extension.

But this leads into another question: is there a way to do "aux-work" using a feature access code? The way it is now, the EC500s will receive all calls (regular extension calls and hunt group calls), or no calls at all (by going into remote SAC). I would like a way for them to receive extension calls sometimes, without having to also be taking hunt group calls. I see a FAC available for aux-work, but I can't seem to get the dial-string right to make it work.

Thanks again!

If you do change off-pbx-telephone feature-name-extensions and assign a DID number to Idle Apperance Select your ec500 users would be able to call that DID number and be able to do what ever they are able to do when they pick up their hardphone hansdset such as dialing the aux-work fac or even log in or out of the hunt group.
