CM 6.0, have a customer using EC500 and using authorization codes from their LD provider.
One of the employees has a cell phone that is a LD number, so when a call comes into her desk phone and the call goes out to her cell phone it gets prompted by the LD provider for an auth code. I could not figure out a way in EC500 to add the auth code, it appears that there is no way for this to work unless someone out there has got this working somewhere. And there LD vendor will not remove the auth codes from separate numbers.

If you have another local trunk that does not require this code you could make an entry into ARS for this cell number to route out another trunk, if another one is available, or maybe add the cell number into ars that has a new route pattern that will insert the auth code for you.

As a cynic, I'm thinking maybe you could just make a route pattern for ARS entry 1xxxxxxxxxx of min/max 11 and use a route pattern that inserts the long distance code. Then anyone could dial long distance and not have to worry about the code :) Or, maybe trying that approach with an entry explicitly for the 1 cell number you want to avoid having to dial the code for.

Using the route pattern seems to be inserting the auth code in front of the number when it dials out

If you're going to have a unique route pattern for the user anyway, couldn't you just delete all the digits and then in the route insert 1-555-555-1234~p 9999 where 9999 is the auth code?

My way around this issue was to create a unique route pattern and just assign it with a higher FRL so that it would forgo the auth code.

Randy, the LD vendor is looking for the auth code not the pbx
