EBN mode:
I have an EBN that I want to connect to an MD, so in normal mode my IP phones will be registered towards the MD, how will my analog and digital extensions in the EBN will be able to call those IP phones?

In fall back mode how will any extension in the MD be able to call the IP phones that reregistered in the EBN?

In normal mode any analog or digital extension in the EBN that tries to call the IP phones, will not work cause the phones are already assigned there with PINT, and they are not registered there!

In fall back mode, no extensions in the MD will be able to call the phones that reregistered in the EBN cause those phones are already assigned as extensions in the MD but they are not registered there!

Am I right, can anyway clarify that for me please?????

You should use DRG22i for all analogue extention.
The DRG22i is then registered toward ELU32/IPLU on the MD. In DRG 22 i you have 2 gatekeeper entry. You can specify the EBN as second choice.

For calling to the ip phones that has been logged in the EBN you should program the backup position or a pelpi which calls them by the pstn.

I want to know in this context, how the digital phones of an EBN are programmed in the MD110? Are they programmed?

the phones are only configured via TLG on the EBN. Each digital extn can be set as a destination code on the MD/MXOne using the IP trunks as the route.

Hi lalrl,
Only the IP phones will be programmed in the MD as extensions in the MD node, analog and digital phones in the EBN will only be registered in the EBN, and they will not be considered as in the same node as the MD. So calling NON IP terminals in the EBN will be achieved by trunks or networking, in fall back mode, the IP phones that were registered towards the MD, will register to the EBN, while no changes will occur on the digital and analog phones.

Thanks for all theese infos. So I think, digital phones loose a few features like grouphunting, pickup, chief/sec.-fuctions.

But I think within the EBN grouphunting and pickup between digital phones is possible? Is the featureset from the MD copied to EBN or are there a lot of differences?

And I need at least two boards in MD. One for IP-Phones, one for IP-Trunking, right? Does EBN have CTI- and Billing-Interface?

Most of them are the same features, EBN supports ACD, Group hunts, Personal Group ( some how same as personal number), Parallelrining groups, it even has some extra features such as built in AA, built in web server, and voice mail system, all of those are integrated into the mother board.

Well yes so far that is, the IPLU board can only support IP extensions or IP Trunking, but i will go with IP networking instead of IP Trunking, IP networking is much more felxibleand efficent.

Yes it does have CTI.

Yes it does have its own Billing_Interface.

MD-Evolution and EBN seem to be very powerfull for there price and size.

Using a IPLU or ELU32 boards in the MD or MX-ONE, and on the other side in the EBN or MD-Evolution using the integrated H323 ports on the mother board or using the CIP board.
2. How about MEX and Dect?
MEX and Dect are also supported in the EBN or MD-Evolution, Up to 8 base stations per system, 16 DECT calls, 128 DECT phones, 128 MEX extensions (R1 and R2).
3. Can you say that EBN is a complete independently working PABX?
NOT EBN, but MD-Evolution, they are exactly the same HARD WARE and software, it’s just through the license that you get you can use the system as an EBN ( Back for MD or MX-ONE IP extension), or MD-Evolution (stand alone PBX)
