Hi,
Anyone know of any command line utilities that will convert between ASCII and EBCDIC? I'm trying to incorporate this into GENTRAN with the OFTP protocol, so if there is another way of achieving this please let me know.
Thanks,
Echeta

If you are FTPing from MVS to another platform and do not do a binary transfer, the conversion should be automatic.

Boca,
I am using OFTP which I believe does not automatically translate. And it's on a windows platform...
Shook

Can Gentran call a batch file program on Windows? If so, you can write an FTP batch using an FTP command file to do just about anything you would from a DOS FTP session.
