Hi I am new to Easytrieve. I dont find any forum for this.
Please help me in the below.

I have 2 files FILE1 and FILE2.
I need to do some logic like

For Each Record of FILE1
For Each Record of File3
IF ( Some Condition )
{
....
....
}

Can you please tell me how to code this in EasyTrieve.

Please let me know the Job parameters

Arrays..They are the answers to your Questions. Read the mallest input file in an array and then use it later..'gator.
BTW, did U Know that they have EZTR in Solaris as well now..Pass this on to all in the world..

Another easy was is to concatenate the fiels ans store them anyway as WS vars...

Thanks... the arrays worked.. thanksss

Hi,

If your condition is based on FILE1 and FILE2, easytrieve provides the MATCH statement to get this done. One important condition for MATCH is both FILE1 and FILE2 should be sorted order by the KEY.
