Hi,

I'm running Sun Solaris 7 on a Sun Enterprise E450

I need to install 2 new, additional disks.
I plugged them into the server, but how can I add them to the OS ?

Thanks

At the OS prompt type drvconfig
then type disks

If that don't work shut the system down and at the OBP type boot -r

Adding a hard disk
1. connecting the disk
2. creating the device files required to access the disk
3. low-level formatting the disk
4. partitioning the disk
5. making a new filesystem on each partition
6.checking the integrity of the new filesystems

good luck
lorie
