I'm an IP Office guy, but we do have an office that needs to have an extension reset so that a new user can start work on Monday.

What would be the proper way to clear out the mailbox associated with that phone, and setup the new account.

They have a Magix, not exactly sure of the release though.

Thanks for the help guys in advance!

Go into the admin mailbox and reinitialize the mailbox needed.

keep in mind, I have never touched a Magix system..

I am assuming that there would be a Merlin Messaging in the system for voicemail. You would log into the system admin mailbox by using 0# and the password. Press 9 to enter admin. Press 2 for extensions. Enter the extension number you wish to change. Press 3 to reinitilize the password Press 4 to reinitilize the whole mailbox.

Hope this Helps

Ok.. Thanks, I'll have to give that a shot

Is there a "default" admin password, or one that is normally used? We've had different vendors go out on site and administer it, so I would think it would be something common if they have all been able to get into it.

If you work for an Avaya Business Partner, you can contact your distributor for password assistance.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.
