Hopefully this is an easy question!

I have changed a couple of things in my BE table. However, the FE is not recognising the changes. How do I relink the data (if that's the right term)?

FURTHER DETAILS
I have a combo-box field that shows list values (Monday-Friday). I have updated the list to include Sat and Sun, but the combo-box on the form still only shows Mon-Fri

Thanks in advance!

on your Form
How/Where does the data come from to fill the cbo

Hope this helps

The cbo is linked to a field - sickleavedayofweek

In the relevant table, the follwing attributes are:

Display Control - Combo Box
Row Source Type - Value List
Row Source - Monday;Tuesday;Wednesday; ....etc

Previously the row source ran from Mon-Fri.
I just went into the BE and added Saturday and Sunday.

Hope you can help!
Thanks

You will have to go into the value list and type in Sat & Sun for them to be displayed in in the cbo

Hope this helps

That's exactly what I did.

My problem is that the cbo on the form still only shows Mon-Fri.

:(

In the Front End Form?

Hope this helps

Not quite sure what you mean.

I updated the row-source in the BE.
The cbo is on a form in the FE.

If I update the row-source for the cbo in the BE, shouldn't this be reflected in the cbo on the form in the FE (without me having to change any attributes for the cbo in the FE)?

Am I making any sense? I'm confusing myself!!

The back-end does contain just tables, and the front-end does contain only queries, forms, etc.

Let me explain it again....

I have a table called tblSickLeave.
In the table there is a field called SickLeaveDayOfWeek
In the properties for this field, the relevant properties are as follows:

Display Control - Combo Box
Row Source Type - Value List
Row Source - Monday;Tuesday;Wednesday; ....etc

Initially the row-source ran from Mon-Fri.
When I placed this control on a form (frmSickLeave), I get a combo-box shows my the list of values for the field, i.e. Mon-Fri.

The tblSickLeave is in the BE, and frmSickLeave is in the FE.

Now, I needed to add Saturday and Sunday to the list of values for this field. So, I opened the BE, opened tblSickLeave in design view, changed the row source property of field SickLeaveDayOfWeek to include Saturday and Sunday.

What should be happening is that when I run the FE, open frmSickLeave and click on the cbo SickLeaveDayOfWeek then the list show run from Mon-Sun. But it doesn't, it still runs from Mon-Fri.

I'm guessing that the form is still using the old information (from before the update of field SickLeaveDayOfWeek). I just need to know how to get the form to realise that I've made a change in the BE and behave appropriately!

CAN ANYONE HELP????

OK try deleting the cbo and then re placing the cbo back on the form
I normally set the
Row Source Type - Value List
Row Source - Monday;Tuesday;Wednesday; ....etc
in the properties of the cbo on the Form

Hope this helps

I'll give it a go and post back!

Thanks

I took your initial advice and just made the change on the form.

Works fine (duh!)

Thanks!
