Whats the difference between a Notes Server and a Domino Server? It seems like the same thing to me.

The difference between a Notes Server and Domino Server has been blurred somewhat since Release 5. There used to be a destiction because a Notes Server could be implemented for email functionality and/or Notes database usage and not as a web server. The web functionality was available but not necessarily configured or utilized. Since Release 5, the destinction has been essentially removed as the Notes Server and Domino Server functionality are one and the same as long as the web (http) services (Domino services) have been started.
Therefore, there really is no difference other than Notes used to refer to non web based functionality while Domino would refer to the web functionality. In recent years, we generally use the name Domino server to refer to the Notes/Domino server instead of confusing the issue.
Hope this helps.
