... yeah, easy, but i can't figure it out

Im trying to dispaly zip codes, but it keeps automatically taking out the 0 if it is displayed first.

for example: 07719 will be displayed as 7719

how do i fix this?

You can set the cells format to be Text, that will leave in the 0's.

Change the column format to character instead of numeric.

There's always a better way. The fun is trying to find it!

There are multiple ways to accomplish this. Probably the simplest is to highlight the cell(s) or column(s) that should contain zip codes, go to Format>Cells, in the left box, select "special," then in the right box select "Zip Code" or "Zip Code + 4." Formatting the range as text will also work.

Is there a way to do it without having to physically go back and type in all 550 zeros? can i highlight the column and have "0" entered before all the zip codes?

One way to do it would be to concatenate the values with a zero. On another cell type =0&A1 (or whatever your cell value is) then copy that and then 'paste special values only' back into your cells with the zip codes in.

you could also select all the column, then press F2 to edit the cell. then go to the beginning of your string and add '0 and press Ctrl+Enter
this would do the thing as well
