E8602 Failed to read from database

Hi all,

My backup failed last night with the following message.

E8602 Failed to read from database (DBNAME=SHAFTESBURY, EC=PRIMUS: Backup Agent Error - (546) "VDI interface GetConfiguration () failed.")

Tried searching for it on CA but could find nothing matching.

Anyone could shed any light on it or where to search for a resolution would be much appreciated.

I believe the error is actually being returned from SQL - you could try searching Microsoft's site for the backend part of the error.

Hi - I am getting the exact same error. I've done a search on the Microsoft site but could find nothing.

Did you manage to resolve your problem, and if so, what did you do?

Hi,

change the priority of MS sql server to be backed up first.
or,

Try by changing the schedule time to backup

I changed the time of the schedule, although I changed it for a different reason but it's not happened since.

Anyhow, as sandyboy said, changing times could help, so maybe that's the way to go.
