I am using windows 2000 and exchange 5.5, all backups are done locally.

The job was successful until this morning when i found this error when trying to backup the information store

E8602 - Failed to read from database (DBNAME=Information Store, EC=DBagent Error -- (69) "Read/Write error in named pipes."

From looking at the Ca website it looks like the database is corrupted, does anyone know how this problem can be fixed.

Thanks

Jelley

Hi,

Database corruption would be my last guess...

this error is usually caused due to a timeout...

reboot the exchange server...

run the job...

if this fails then you'd wanna run ISINTEG \ESEUTIL

cheers
