Hi,got a problem when backing up individual mailboxes on Exchange 2000.I'm using Arcserve 2000 on Windows NT4.It backs up roughly 50 out of 250 mailboxes we have. The 200 it doesn't backup receive the following error message:E8602 failed to read from database dbname=individual mailbox...... ec=backup agent error --(69)"read/write error in named pipes".Anyone got any clues?

Yeah, my brief search of the microsoft knowledge base didn't reveal anything of exchange mailbox limitations. Have you tried the typical exchange database maintenance utilities? Maybe there is a bit of corruption.

Also, disable all antivirus all together and see if there is a difference in the log.

keep me posted on your progres.....

I have fixed the problem. To make a long story short there were two PC's here that were set on auto-negotiate on thier NIC's. They were taking up every available connection since I don't think the switch was negotiating correctly from the hub they were on. I thought it had to do with Exchange and here it was a completely unrelated issue.

Thanks for all of your help!
