E8524 Unrecognized command

Good Day Everyone,

In my previous two backups i've received the following error message when trying to backup my blackberry server.

E8524 - received unrecognized command from the client agent (command=68)

I've checked the client agent on the BES and all seems fine there.

Any ideas on what this message means?

try stopping and restarting the CA universal client agent service.

what version of the agent on the blackberry server ? If you are running a lower build/version of the agent than your main backup base product then you must upgrade.

The Agent version on the BES is greater than that of ArcServe 2000 so I can't see that being an issue. I've restarted the agent service on the BES and still the same haunting message.

Despite it the backup goes through without any errors. I'm just worried it may cause some issues down the line.

In general ARCserve host is compatible with same and older versions of agents but not with newer versions of agents.
