We have too just been hit with the black out. It looks like they Valutec is generating new client keys for any accounts that had still been using TLS 1.0 then asking the accounts to contact oracle remote services and purchase hours to process the new client key.
So...I spoke with a MICROS dealer, regarding the issue; and here's what I was told:
They recently...before the VT update was implemented...took 2 e7 sites, to the latest v4.4. It doesn't have, the license key field.
They've contacted Oracle, and evidently they are "working on it". So; my guess...is it's "both". You'll probably need to be 4.4, if you're not; and a patch...if/when, they come out with one.
I know this is a bit old but I was wondering if you had any insight on how, what seems to be such a large mistake on someone's part this happened, not just the lack of the license key field but the whole valuetec 1.2 transition. Do you have any insight on why this went so poorly?
