E6300 Windows NT SCSI PORT Error [ABSL : 2060 CMD:34h]

I'm getting this error every time i try to do a full backup

E6300 Windows NT SCSI PORT Error [ABSL : 2060 CMD:34h]

System: PIII 733/ 512 RAM
Tape: Compaq AIT 35
OS: Windows NT 4 Server
Software: Arcserve 6.61 (build 834)

Can anyone help me?

Check for bent pins or a loose connection in your SCSI cable

I've allready checked this, took me best part of an hour. The tape drive still works, occationally it gets it's knickers in a twist and comes back with this error.
