E2K3 / 5.5 / DNS ?

Hi !

I have the following setup
NT 4 Domain with Exchange 5.5. I want to upgrade directly to W2K3 & E2K3.

According to Microsoft the DNS name for the domain should be "domainname".local. The old Exchange 5.5 Site is serving mail for the "domainname".com domain.

Will the .local doamin collide with the .com site in exchange ?

Go and look at the Exchange Server 2003 Deployment Guide from

http://www.microsoft.com\exchange\library

- it will answer this and many other questions you will need to answer before you start.
