Afternoon guys

I am battling to setup the Avaya E129 SIP phones.

IPO v2 9.1

I have followed the manual and setup the ext and user as well as entered the info on the web interface. The phone shows its registered but can not dial another phone. When I reboot it, I get a quick message saying 'network down' even though the 1608's work.

Please let me know if you need more info. Any advice would be apprectiated

Thanks

Ian

Do you have Call Appearance in the user? Sometimes this buttons disappear and the phone register but cannot make calls.

these phones are like a cell phone, after dialing you need to hit the phone icon on the bottom right of phone

iansa.. i think you need to verify the vlan if you are connecting the phone to trunk switchport.. data untagged, voice tagged.. set the vlan in e129 web interface.

i'm also currently setup ipo r9.1 with e129.. any idea for the phonebook/contact for system directory? what's the default dir and filename for the xml file?

Sorry for the late response. My tier 2 support is even battling with this.

I saw that the sd card wasn't loaded properly so I recreated it. Now I have a huge problem of the licenses saying they are 6.1 not 9.1 and system status has suspended all services until I load a valid software version?

Has anyone experienced this???

I rolled back to 9 and it isn't asking for an upgrade license anymore but system status is still suspeneded.

Have logged a ticket but was hoping someone has come across this before

Thanks

System status is just an engineers monitoring tool, it doesn't provide any services or features.
You must have used a Manager versions too high for the system licences when you re-created it, you need to lower it back down to the version you are licenced for.... then leave it alone before you break it again :)
