Anyone ever programmed a link between a Definity and an Aspect.
The Definity should act as the public network, not using Qsig. Haven't been lucky so far to connect both sides properly.
I have a Definity and an Aspect sitting side by side in my data center, wired together. I'm not doing E1, just T1, but that shouldn't make much difference. It is a private T1 ISDN connection. When I get into the office later I'll post my settings on each end. Off the top of my head, on the Definity DS1 form, the "Connect" field should be set to "host" to make the Definity appear as the public network.
Below are my DS1 card settings in the Definity to tie to the Aspect. In the Aspect, the T1 card is set for AT&T 4ESS. I'm not sure about the E1 settings in the Aspect. I have an E1 connection between my Definity and a Multitech RAS device. In the Definity, if you're trying to do E1, you need to use a TN464 card and set the dip switch on the card to 32 channels. Then use line coding of hdb3, country protocol of ETSI and set the bit rate to 2.048, all on the ds1 form.
Good luck

Well it seemed that the Aspect was connected on a different line...
