Hello

I have looked around a fair bit but, due to ignorance in this area I cannot honestly decipher what I need to know.

Here is the issue. A vendor has offered to lend us an Asterisk for a limited VoIP project, for the time being within the same site. Our IT people are keen to give it a go asap.

The vendor has told us that to link our opt 61C to the Asterisk, "all you need is an E1 link." Having looked around on this forum, it would seem that it is far from that simple. Could anyone help me with specifics about what cards, service packs etc. we will need for the Meridian in order to make this happen?

Presumably I will also need to know if there are options for the interface at the Asterisk end as well.

I need to price this quite urgently (and of course, accurately!) but I am not sure what to ask for.

Below is what we currently have on the Meridian. I can also post a card inventory if that would help.

Many thanks

Loop 06 is our current EuroISDN. I think this was previously on Loop 20 but maintenance changed it to 06.

Loop 24 was previously (now unused) a 2meg tie to an opt 11 at another site. I assume the card for this is still in there. This should also be duplicated with a similar unused setup, as there were two remote opt 11's linked in the same way.

Would a card inventory be useful?

Here is the LD60 stat:
