E1 ISDN PRI Question

Is the default or intital channels for IPO 500 (4.1) only 8 channels? and the remaining 22 should come with a license?

One more thing as I go on configuring E1 PRI line I cannot find the paremeters where to set framing(hdb3 - telco setting). I am using the etsi protocol as well.

The new pri card for the ip500 comes with 8 channels
The rest must be bought with licenses
This is done for more flexibility
If you have an isdn 20 you do not need to pay for 30 channels but only for 20 channels

You can only select ETSI or QSIG for the protocol

Thanks tlpeter. I used etsi for country protocol but how to set line coding to hdb3? I've installed T1 PRI before and all the paremeters were there in the configuration window.

They are not with an E1 i am affraid
You still can make it a T1 i think
That is an advantage of the new card, it is the same card now
