E-Mail With Attachments

I am building a E-Mail system to include in a large application.

When adding an Attachment to an e-mail created in Outlook the file is attached and shows itself as a small Icon which represents the file type.

E.g. if you attach a .doc file you would be shown a Office/Windows document Icon in the email attachment section.

How is this done? I want to show the user the file name and the file icon on return of an OpenFileDialog.
