E-Mail stuck in Outbox

I'm using MS Outlook 2000, one user sent a 20MB picture, now it is stuck for 4 days in the Outbox, I tried to delete, but it gives me the message:
can't open item, MAPI is already spooling

I don't have MS Exchange Server.

I tried to delete it offline, didn't work, I tried to delete the Outbox folder, didn't work,

Any ideas what else I can try.

Mmm. I might try to use "scanpst.exe" to see if the pst file is corrupted.

When I used to get this problem, the only way I ever found to resolve it was to delete the service (Tools, Services) and re-create it. Make a note of all your settings before deleting!!!!
